We have studied many different modalities that work as adjuncts to Lymphatic Therapy. We use Vodder's technique to manually manipulate the Lymphatic System. While slightly and lightly stretching, torquing and releasing the skin, the lymphatic system is stimulated. This
technique opens the lymphangion allowing the lymphatic fluid to move from
one angion to the next. Then with the release of the skin, this allows the
lymphangion valve to close. This process mimics the contraction of our
muscles. While researching and studying the lymphatic system, we have gained
an edge over most lymphatic therapist. The school we attended, not only teaches the Vodder Lymphatic Technique but we have been trained and certified in the proper technique of operating the Lymphstar. While the Lymphstar is not directional, lymphatic drainage is. As the picture above depicts, lymphatic fluid only flows in one direction. This device is able to break the congested lymphatic fluid, then by adding the manual Vodder drainage technique, we are able to complete the process of a full body lymphatic drainage in the fraction of the time.
LYMPHATIC THERAPY AND COLD PULSE LASER
We use different types of cold pulse lasers which use light, with the potential of oxygenating an area. Light has incredible qualities and we use different spectrums of light as we perform the manual lymphatic drainage techniques. We use red, infra red and violet light. Each light has its own attribute. The laser pulses incredibly fast, with this continuous pulse it allows the lasers to be cool. While using the lasers we have the ability to set the frequendies of each laser, which enables the laser to be used to its highest potential.
LYMPHATIC THERAPY AND ESSENTIAL OILS
So...while we have found evidence that our bodies are electrical, we now come to the use of Essential Oils with Lymphatic Therapy. Studies have shown, our body organs run at specific frequencies, the essential oils also have specific frequencies. The essential oils are extracted from the life source of each plant. "God makes the earth yield healing herbs which the prudent man should not neglect." Each essential oil have many constituents, which is the chemical make up of each plant. Each constituent have therapeutic value. On our website, as well as many others, the word "therapeutic" is many times referenced. As we extract the essential oil from a plant using the steam distilled extraction, the oil is seperated from the hydrosol, therefore producing the purest of essential oils. So, for us or anyone to say the term
"therapeutic," it is redundant. If the oil is pure, it is therapeutic. Because, each pure oil is made of its own constituents. Applying essential oils is fairly simple. When unsure always place a drop or two on the hands or feet. The oils travel where they are needed, in seconds. We utilize the spine, as all of the meridians at one point meet the spine. This procedure needs very little caution, but some caution. Some essential oils need the use of carrier oils when applied, as they can be hot on the skin. The molecules of essential oils
are much smaller than those of the carrier oils. Therefore, the carrier oil slows down the rate of the essential oils. A few good carrier oils are extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil or a fractionated coconut oil, jojoba oil, castor oil, or emu oil. We will have these available shortly.
LYMPHATIC THERAPY AND RAPID RELEASE TECHNOLOGY RRT
We utilize Rapid Release Technology RRT. Rapid Release Therapy(TM) is a breakthrough in therapeutic technology which focuses on the relief of soft tissue problems affecting the nerves, muscle, tendons, and ligaments. RRT is designed to target scar tissue adhesions with a specific frequency. This frequency is know to relax muscle guarding or spasms. RRT is a targeted high speed vibrational device which in slow motion shows the maneuvering of the Lymphatic System. Scar Tissue forms in the body as a temporary patching mechanism for wounds caused by injury, surgery, trauma or repetitive stress. This scar tissue is made from collagen, just like our skin but without blood supply it dries out, constricts and de-vitalizes. Scar tissue fastened to tissues not normally connected, is called an adhesion. Adhesions can cause pain, numbness or limit range of motion. RRT relies upon the science of resonance. Like the piano note vibrating the corresponding guitar string across the room, the target absorbs vibrational energy and oscillates. Same principle as the opera singer who can vibrate a crystal glass across the room until it breaks.
LYMPHATIC THERAPY AND KINESIO TAPING
We have studied the amazing benefits of Kinesio Taping Technique for the Lymphatic System. Chris Simon CLT, DPSc, CKTP, BMT has attened KT1, KT2, KT3 Advanced, KT4 Advanced Sports/Orthopedic and KT4 Advanced Lymphatic Concepts. He is a Certified Kinesio Taping Practioner. This has be an incredible endeavor which has helped deepen our work on the Lymphatic System. We have been trained to drain the Lymphatic Flow of our body. As we follow the Water Shed and manually drain the lymph in our body, this taping technique will ensure the continual flow of Lymphatic Fluid well after the session is complete. When applied on skin, the Kinesio Tape lifts the upper layers of skin, creating more space between the dermis and the muscle. The space created relieves pressure on the lymphatic vessels, creating more space for lymph flow and thus better lymph drainage through the affected area. This space also houses
various nerve receptors that send specific information to the brain. When the space between the epidermis and the muscle is compressed, such as during an injury, these nerve receptors are compressed and send information to the brain regarding continuous touch, light touch, cold, pain, pressure and heat. This information causes the brain to send out certain signals to the body on how to react to certain stimuli. Kinesio Tape helps the information that these receptors send to the brain and causes a less reactive response in the body, allowing the body to work in a more normal manner. This removes some of the roadblocks for the Lymphatic System, which normally hinder the healing process.
Kinesio Tape also is felt to affect the deeper tissue in the body.
Increased space theoretically allows muscles greater
contractibilty, which in turn pushes more fluid through the
muscle, resulting in better muscle performance. The end results
are believed to be reduced muscle fatigue, increase in range of
motion, better quality of muscle contraction, and to help sustain
better lymphatic flow. Kinesio Tape is used to improve joint
alignment by affecting the muscle and fascia, and can reduce
poor function of a joint by influencing opposing muscle groups
and joint mobility. Fascia and Lymph have an intimate
relationship with one another. Fascia is a material that divides
and separates the muscles and internal organs and helps
to provide support against gravity in some parts of the body. Lymph removes fluids and chemical substance (bits of torn cells, blood leaked from capillaries from injuries etc.) in the muscle. Lymph vessels pass through the fascia between the bone and muscle and superficially between the skin and muscle. Lymph Nodes range in size from smaller than a pin head to the size of an almond. Major lymph vessels and nodes can be found in the inguinals, submandibular, and axillary. When the flow is restricted an accumalation of fluid occurs behind the congested area, resulting in swelling that decreases space between the muscle and skin, causing the body to react to a painful stimulus. This working model gives rise to the basic theoretical concept of the Kinesio Taping Method.
